When will Norton ban all trucks?

Short article in yesterday's Coalfield about the city receiving complaints about trucks and jake brakes from Holiday Inn. Seems the poor little guests can't sleep.

According to the article, the city's attorney is researching measures the town can take to restrict jake brakes.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see the city just ban trucks within city limits.

If they ban all trucks within city limits a lot of our customers are going to get mighty cold this winter.

Not a bit surprised the complaints have already started - have just been waiting for it to happen. Putting that type hotel beside the required route for all local heavy trucks (and railroad tracks) may not have been the absolute best choice.

I'm right there in the same area every day - so I have learned to completely tune it out (not hard to do) - but I guess those not used to it get rude awakenings.

The tards using their jake brake down that little hill with a mile long flat straight at the bottom don't own their trucks and are driving for someone. They are using them just to make noise and most are doing it just to roust the guests in the hotel. I say they don't own their trucks because if they did they wouldn't be throwing the brake own at 60 on a that small an incline and taking the chance on blowing the heads off their engine.

You spend a few hours here at my place and you'll get sick of them as well.
